What solar panel should I get?

How do I get electricity from a solar panel?

  • I have been researching a green project to create a solar powered swamp cooler. While I have most everything planned. I can't find information on how to use the electricity generated from a solar panel. It appears I need some sort of converter and a battery, but I am not finding good solid information for the novice like myself. Could you point me in the right direction?

  • Answer:

You will need an inverter and a charge controller if it is an AC swamp cooler, if it is a DC cooler, then you can go straight to the battery and you should be good...I definitely recommend you work with an electrician if you are a novice in this area... Solar panels converts energy from Sun to electrical http://energy.By the photovoltaic cells present in it.These cells are made of metal with greater atomic radii and less ionization energy like cesium so that it can be easily ionized and the electrons and +'ve charge move through the circuit to produce electricity.

Hot tip: always connect the regulator to the battery first, maybe the swamp cooler, and then the panel/module to the regulator. I recommend the PHOCOS regulators.
