Are there any real differences between a .com and .biz site?

What is the best CMS for a multilingual site?

  • My site has +30 different languages (LTR and RTL) with 15 pages per language. Some of the languages are localized versions of the same language with some content differences (for example: English - UK and English - US). Each language will be served from a separated domain or subdomain (for example, http://www.mydomain.com (US) http://es.mydomain.com (Spain) and http://www.mydomain.fr/ (France)). I want to be able to share templates, site structure and some of the content across languages. Can Joomla/Drupal or WordPress can handle it? Are there any other CMS I should look at?

I'll answer the Drupal part of it. Drupal 7's multilingual features have been very well thought out and implemented. There is even a core initiative in Drupal 8 for multilingual support(http://drupal.org/community-initiatives/drupal-core). For the perfect guide to setup up a multilingual site in Drupal 7, read http://hojtsy.hu/multilingual-drupal7.

The Umbraco CMS is open source and handles multi-lingual very well: http://umbraco.com/why-umbraco

Drupal & EZPublish are the best candidates.
