What is the average cost of unique visitor to a website?

How much does a DMP like Lotame or Exelate cost ? Assuming I'm a 10M unique visitor per month website editor, what would I pay?

  • I understand DMP are often sold based on a tiered model that depends on how many unique cookies it has to manage in a given month, but I still can't get a precise figure from any company offering DMP. I know it varies, but taking an illustrated example as a case study would defenitely help me understand things better. Thanks !

    I am the Director of Product at Lotame. Lotame offers different pricing models depending on your requirements. We can offer a flat rate card depending on total monthly uniques and impressions. We also offer a rate card based on a CPM on impressions targeted to audience created using the DMP.  Given the customization available with DMPs today, you can subscribe to DMPs with less than $5K minimum spend per month depending on your site volumes. Publishers would pay for DMP solutions only if they have some valuable data on customers that can drive lift in CTR and convertions that they can sell or for managing their own audience. The key component of DMP vs. DP is the 'management' piece. DMPs will typically charge monthly fees based on the unique number of users that will flow through the platform.Every DMP will have a different pricing model based on the inclusion of different features (such as the inclusion of augmented third party data, services offerings, advanced algorithmic modeling, etc).Data providers may offer data on a CPM basis per unique user, or a flat fee based on a particular campaign in question.
