Distance Learning Masters in HCI: what's the value and where are the good programs?

There is a good foundational course on HCI concepts by Stanford on Coursera. Although it is complete, you can still access the video lectures on signing up at hhttp://ttps://www.coursera.org/course/hci. In my opinion, an experience which one might miss out on from not being on campus would be the chance to work in multi-disciplinary teams and learn from other disciplines. Being a HCI student at Georgia Tech, for most of my class projects I work along with students with varying backgrounds in Computer Science, Digital Media, Industrial Design, Psychology, Computational media and each team member brings something unique to the table. There is a lot to learn from these interactions and the work you do on a project is not limited to your skills or knowledge, but can leverage the skills of everyone involved which ultimately helps in building great products and designs.
