Who are the top ten Successful Canadian Entrepreneurs?

Why have we not seen more startups from Amazon alumni? Of the big Internet companies from last ten years it seems to throw off fewer entrepreneurs than contemporaries like google, eBay, yahoo, etc

  A) Amazon is in Seattle and as such, has less startup community (ie, incubators, angels, VC's, etc) to spur the spin-outs. B) Some exist, but few are consumer Internet and particularly successful, so we hear about them less. This also leads to fewer others being encouraged to start their own. C) Amazon stock is still doing quite well, so there is less incentive to leave. D) A big reason people leave is that they feel embarrassed to be part of a big old uncool company. There aren't the tons of cool startups in Seattle that your friends are making you jealous to be part of. And Amazon is still pretty cool in terms of street cred. E) Up until recently, Amazon hasn't had the head count to compare to some of these other giants, so statistically they're less probable to produce startups.
