What are the best universities in the world to get a PhD in food sciences?

Apparently Wageningen University in Nederland is one of the best. Any other names?

UMass was ranked #1 by the NRC recently. I personally think Penn State is good! Outside US Wageningen, Guelph, Leeds are all excellent. The best advice though is to look for an advisor not a program

In the US there are many good Food Science departments at what are called the Land Grant Universities. Some of the top programs are at Cornell, UC Davis, University of Minnesota, Rutgers and Penn State. Actually though there are probably at least a dozen top tier Food Science departments among which there is no meaningful ranking. Internationally, Wageningen is a peer of these.
