How do I open .sds files?

How can Windows system files with brackets in names be safely deleted?

  • After System Restore (and possibly after SDS updates too) Windows generates files like igfxpers(36).exe, igxprd32(38).dll and so on. What is the proper way and procedure to find all backup duplicates and delete these unneeded files safely?

  • Answer:

I doubt you can find them and delete them automatically (though it's possible cleaner programs can do it) Delete them, but skip any files that give you errors that they are in use if you delete them manually. Those in use typically are actually in use. Do reinstall updates too.

Use can use disk clean up. And go to advanced clean up which will clear all these files automatically. It doesn't need any extra software to be installed. Right click on drive -> disk clean up you can find advanced over there as well. All the installation files, temporary packages downloaded via updates, temperature files etc. You can clearly understand by reading those. And select which all are required. Some times it may take time if files are huge/large in number to be deleated.
