What are people who make bomb threats to TSA, Police or Security agents like in real life?

  • A man says he has two grenades in his bag to TSA agent. He doesn't. When questioned by police, he says he was angry because he missed his flight.  The TSA blog is an ongoing catalog of some pretty stupid behavior. One of the most interesting ones to me are the people who make bomb threats or threats of violence to police officers and security personelle. What are these people like in real life? Is it panic that compels them to say such idiotic things? Is there often mental illness involved?
