I.V League Universities?

What are the main differences between Ivy league universities and mid-level universities?

  • If a person pursues bachelors or masters degree, what difference, in terms of knowledge, can Ivy league university make if the textbooks are the same and probably methodology is also the same? what about if he pursues PhD degree?

  • Answer:

In my humble opinion, it's not what you learn but how you learn it. The main advantages of Ivy League universities are their talented student bodies, top-notch professors, and access to a wide variety of resources. At an Ivy League institution, you will sit in class with bright, motivated students whom you will have thought-provoking discussions with during sections and over meals. You will listen to lectures from seasoned experts in their fields, many of whom will have written the very books you use. Finally, you will have access to incredible internships and research opportunities by merit of your school's name. There has been a fair amount of Ivy-bashing in the media recently, but if you're a free-thinking, open-minded individual, having an Ivy League education certainly won't hurt. If you're looking for some advice on the Ivy League admissions process, I would suggest checking out http://IvyAchieve.com, where you'll find successful strategies from Ivy League students. Best of luck!
