The icons in my monitor has shadows, how can i remove the shadows?

How do I remove the base from a Samsung SyncMaster p2770fh monitor?

• I know, talk about specific :-) I have Samsung monitor (see photos) with an attached arm that goes into the base of the monitor. This is the factory base that came with the monitor. The little arm you see just snapped straight in, and I believe there were some tabs on the female side that hold it in place. But now I need to remove the little arm, so I can pack the monitor back into its flat box. I can't see any way to remove it, short of breaking it off. Argh. Any suggestions? As you can see here in the instructions, the information to insert the stand is simply "shove it in." Which is what I did, and now it seems quite securely attached...

  Monitors like these would come with the stand attached if the manufacturers would get the same packing size from it. Unfortunately the only two choices you have are to leave it alone (which is intended, as there is no VESA mount, as far as I can see) Or to risk breaking the snap tabs (or scratching the screen, or worse) by pulling it straight out. You could possibly use a tool to help separate, but it'll come down to brute force.
