How to create LINKS to other websites in my blogs?

Is it legal to have a website full of links to other (typically file sharing) websites with copyrighted material, just as long as there is no such material on your website?

• I am interning at a cloud company and my job is to try to pull down websites that use our trade name, especially when they do it in relation to massive downloads of copyrighted material. Even though all the mp3s and movies the links to which are being posted are not our copyrighted material, we still indicate the copyright claims in the legal correspondence as we are the company that is trying to discourage piracy. So basically it is not a crime to upload some copyrighted material to your cloud; it is not a crime to share it with a friend; but isn't this clear piracy to post your cloud links with movies and games on blogs and forums, where millions of people can download all that? And I get responses from web hosts of such sites that "they are only search engines that index files from other websites". Well isn't that a crime to make links meant for interpersonal use unrestrictedly public?

  When it comes to file sharing of copyrighted files - you're not allowed to upload them, period, although downloading is legal. Also, files that are uploaded to file sharing sites are not necessarily for interpersonal use, and typically are in fact not. After all, nearly every cloud/file-sharing site has privacy settings, and sites like 4shared can't index a link that is private and/or has a password.
