How do you catch dialga and palkia Pokemon platinum?

  After you get HM waterfall, go back to Mt. coronet and use it on the waterfall you passed when you were chasing team Galactic. It's near the outside area where you can find Abamasnow. On top of the waterfall, you'll see a cave. Go in the cave and you'll fint the Lustrous Orb ant the Admant Orb. Once you obtain those, go to Spear pillar and you'll see a rift, either pink or blue. The pink has Palkia and the blue has Dialga. Press A when you get to it ( save first!) and you'll fight one of them. After your done with the first battle, exit Spear Pillar ( don't leave Mt. Coronet, unless you have too) and you'll see the other rift. Go up to it, press A again and Bam! You fight the other legendary. Nothing to it! Good luck!
