My Baby Red Eared Turtle Has Gone Blind , It Has Not Eaten For Weeks And Does Not Swim, Just Sinks And Makes A Chirping Sound At Times, He Seems OK, How Can I Get Him To Eat?

    Are its eyes swollen? Swollen eyes should look like it has a thick brown film over it (like eyelids). Swollen eyes are usually caused by vitamin A deficiency (or ironically an overdose of vitamin A). You will need to take your turtle to the vet as soon as possible. Turtles will not eat if they cannot see. Vocalizing is often a sign of respiratory distress. Please take your turtle to a vet as soon as you can or you will risk losing the little guy.
