If carbon dioxide and oxygen are both a part of photosynthesis and respiration, how are these gasses used in both processes?
-
-
Answer:
Plants take in carbon dioxide and through photosynthesis produces oxygen. Respiration does the reverse, where animals take in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. Oxygen produced in photosynthesis replenishes oxygen that was used up by living things during respiration. This cycle of photosynthesis and respiration maintains the balance of carbon dioxide and oxygen on earth.
