What's the average age for lung cancer?

Whats the survival rate for Brain and lung cancer?

  • My grandmother who is only in her 50's was diagnosed with a brain tumor that came from her lungs. This was a huge shock to her as her only symptom was double vision. She does smoke and thats probably why she has lung cancer.. but she also has a brain tumor.. so that means she has lung and brain cancer right? anyway Im only 14 and me and my grandmother are close.. I dont want to loose her anytime soon. Soooo i was wondering whats the survival rate for lung cancer or brain cancer.. or both together. I know it's probably not high but i still want hope. :( thanks guys.

Unfortunately, the survival rate for both forms of cancer is low.

No it does not mean she has lung and brain cancer – she only has lung cancer and it is stage 4. The tumor in her brain is still lung cancer. It is not curable and the median survival is about 7 months.
