What is the work of Red Cross?

HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO WORK AT THE RED CROSS?

• I really want to volunteer at the American Red Cross. I am 13. I am interested in helping with blood donations, or even join the AIDS/HIV awareness team. I could do office work, pick up phone calls, greet and register consumers...etc. I'm very happy to give back to the community, but I need to know all the facts before I do so. My questions are: How old do you have to be, in order to volunteer at the Red Cross? Do you need to take classes before doing so? Does all this kind of stuff go into you record and help with ur college entrance applications? Thank you, I appreciate your help.
