What are the jobs for a Tamagotchi?

What types of jobs can a foreigner do on a tourist visa?

  • My boyfriend is a foreigner and I want him to come visit me in the USA this summer. He's never been before but he has a visa so he can enter. I assume it's a tourist visa. So his mom said the only way he can come visit me is if he works because she doesn't want him just hanging about doing nothing all summer long. The only problem is, I don't know how he could work here. What type of jobs could he do if he doesn't have a workers visa? Nothing big, but just a typical summer job. Could he work as a waiter (or other jobs like that) or do you have to be a US citizen for that? A cashier? A golf caddie even? I'm talking about the types of after-school teenage jobs or summer jobs. Nothing big or long term. So far all I came up with that I know for sure wouldn't cause problems is a spanish tutor (he speaks fluent spanish), a babysitter/nanny, yard work or I don't know what else. Jobs that individual people hire you for that don't involve taxes or anything. What else is there? What type of jobs can a foreigner do?

  • Answer:

None. He can't even work for free, volunteer. If he walks that old lady's dog for free, a dogwalker would be out of a job, doesn't get paid, and Uncle Sam would be out of his cut. Same for moving lawns, tutoring, or even babysit. There are cases where the grandma from abroad was babysitting her own grandchild while visiting on a visitor's visa and got permanently barred from the U.S. for that.

Nothing. If he works off the books with out taxes, then he will be committing tax evasion. He would have to leave and be banned from the US, sought of like a border jumper who cannot enter for so many years. Pretty much he would be the same as a border jumper and he probably doesn't really want to work for the people who hire them.

none, legally. it's just that simple.

Absolutely forbidden for him to work! He cannot get any job, mow lawns, tutor Spanish or anything else. He will lose his visa, get deported and permanently barred from reentry. Furthermore, failure to report income (file income tax returns) and pay taxes on his income is tax fraud which will get him a few years in Club Fed before deportation and permanent bar to reentry with felony conviction(s). Reporting, of course, exposes the fact he is working illegally, and gets him deported and barred. He is NOT working at all, of any kind whatsoever. Only employers can obtain employment visas for their qualified employees if the employer first obtains labor certification. They have to prove there are no Americans qualified and available for the job. Your bf has no qualifications for any employment visa. If his mom insists that he has to work all summer, it can ONLY be in his country of citizenship.

Nothing ... you cannot work on a tourist visa ..thats illegal

Uncle

None. You can't work at all on a tourist visa. That is why it is called a tourist visa. It is for being a tourist. Not for working.

He cannot work at any job while on a tourist visa. Doing so will get him deported.

Jan

As you now know he can't work
