How to make an image have a different color?

How do I make a Photoshop brush the color of an image?

  • I am trying to get a Photoshop brush to appear as a pattern (image). For example, I have Photoshop brushes in the shape of sparkles and I have an image pattern of glitter. I want the sparkle brush to be that glitter. I have tried to see if I could change the foreground color to an image but it won't. Does anyone know how to do this?

  • Answer:

Try using the Pattern Stamp, using the glitter image as a source pattern (Edit > Define Pattern). You can also select a small portion of the glitter image, define it as a brush head, and change the brush options such as Spacing, Angle Jitter, and such.
