Can reverse cycle a/c be used in existing evaporate air system?
-
we have evaporate air cooling ducted now.If I replace the the system to reverse cycle air conditioning can we use the existing duct work?
-
Answer:
Probably not completely. Most swamp coolers don't recirculate air, so no return ducting is there. And the ducts probably go to your roof, not the best place for a AC evaporator. Additionally, the ducts may not be sized or insulated correctly for AC use which typically has less air volume and lower temps than swamp coolers. Get professional help.
