What kind of plant has dark purple leaves and purple flowers?

What plant is this? Pink flowers, darkish green leaves, some kind of shrub maybe?

  I was watching your question since you first posted, hoping you would be able to upload your photo. But as long as we're guessing, besides lilac, azalea would be another possibility if the photo was taken recently. There's also butterfly bush, weigelia, and rhododendron if the photo was from later in the year (last year). Probably lots of other possibilities, too. Try googling images of the plants mentioned to see if there's a match.
