Whats a good Fisheye lens for a canon rebel xt?

Polaroid .42x High Definition Fisheye Lens for my Canon Rebel T3?

  • So I ordered a .42x High Definition Fisheye Lens off Amazon.com for my Canon camera, I have the Rebel T3. First off it did not say what brand fisheye it was so I opened the box and it was a Polaroid product, and anyway, it came with a 52-58 adapter ring, but that does not fit my lens. I have the kit lens 18-55. Does this product not work on Canon cameras? (on Amazon it said it did) or do I just need the right adapter ring. If so what size ring is that? I'm going to the local camera shop wednesday but I kinda wanna know sooner if this will work or not blah blah. So thanks to anyone who helps! x

  • Answer:

You don't need the adapter ring, it screws straight in. You'll wish it didn't, though, these things are diabolical.

I'm sure the filter size on your lens is 58mm so it should screw into the front of your lens

As Jeff says, the filter size for that lens is 58mm. If you look on the front of the lens you should see a φ58mm (the symbol looking like a O with a / through it.)

Good camera + crappy (add on) lens = crappy photo
