What is the difference between a disease and an infection?

What is the difference between kidney disease and kidney infection?

  • do they both eventually lead to kidney failure? how long would it take? is it possible for just 1 kidney to be diseased or infected? what are the possible causes? what are some symptom differences? which one leads to bone marrow anemia? im just curious. thanks!

  • Answer:

Kidney disease is more likely to lead to kidney failure A kidney infection can probably be treated with antibiotics Only the affected kidney will fail (it is possible to have one infected/diseased kidney) If you don't pee often or your pee is very dark, that is a sign of kidney problems (they process your pee) Causes are mostly likely genetic/congenital for disease, infections just happen Bone marrow anemia? I don't know. If you think you might have a kidney problem, contact a local urologist.
