What are some aspects of the American public?

As a partial Russian-American, what aspects should I include for a heritage project I'm doing?

  Assuming you are now located in North America..... I would include why people left eastern Europe to come to America..... What the immigration figures looked like by years or decades from various countries in eastern Europe..... What skills the new immigrants brought to the US.... and were they trained, as some were, before they came. For example, training in the clothing industry. I would show any ship manifests you have..... and discuss the conditions aboard the ship and how long the journey lasted. I would discuss the procedure to get people through Ellis Island, if indeed your ancestors came through there during the right years it was open. I would discuss the social groups that eastern Europeans often formed here, including any cemetery organizations...... I would show any naturalization documents and how they had to swear off allegiance to any Russian Czar.....
