How To Soft Mod Orginal Xbox?

I Want To Soft Mod An Orginal Xbox To Play Nes,Snes, Sega, And N64 Games For My Little Boy. I've Googled How To Do It But There Are Soooo Many Differnet Opinions On Which Is The Best. My Question Is Which Is The Best And Easiest Way To Do This? Also, Is It Possible To Do With The Items I Have: Xbox Orginal, Xbox Slim, USB, Ethernet Cord, DVDR's, CDR's, Orginal Splinter Cell Game (Not Platinum Hits) And A Newer Toshiba Laptop With Windows 7. (I Do Not Have Action Replay And Would Like To Soft Mod It Without It.) Please Be As Detailed As Possible And Any Links Are Appreciated!!! :) Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated!!! :) Thanks!

I've never heard of an xbox doing this, you can do it on wii with gameboy and such, or you could skip all the hardcore computer nerd stuff of hacking your xbox or wii, and just get an android phone, I have PS1, N64, GBA, and SNES all on my samsung mesmerize.
