Wifi Repeater (Extender)?

My Friend is leaving near my House and he has a BSNL Broadband WIFI Connection which coverage in the street infront of my home but it is not coverage in my home my friend suggest me to buy a wifi repeater and then his coverage will increase I you will also able to use in my home. Please suggest me to increase efficiency of WIFI it will work or not and how I put Wifi Repeater outside my house and also Suggest me WIFI Extender, Repeater and methods of Increasing wifi coverage. And were I would buy wifi repeater online in India which is cheapest 150mbps or 300mbps.

I've experienced difficulty in finding repeaters that fully match wifi routers. You need to find out the make and model of your friend's wireless router and see what wifi repeater will work best for that model. PS: The repeater must not be placed inside your home if the signal there is already weak. It should be placed somewhere between the router and your place.
