  My daughter is 2 years old and here are some things that she likes to do outside that could also work for a group of kids. - play and run through the sprinklers - "swim" and play in her kiddie pool with water toys - fill a large plastic container (one of those huge Rubbermaid plastic tote containers works well) with water and or sand and provide small plastic containers, buckets, cups, small plastic shovels, squirt toys, etc for the kids to play with in the sand or water - Give the kids sidewalk chalk and let them draw on the sidewalk or driveway (the chalk will wash away when it rains or with a quick spray with the waterhose). - get a bunch of inflatable beach balls and toss them out around the backyard. Let the kids throw, kick, and jump on the balls. - blow bubbles and let the kids chase them around - spread a big blanket out on the grass and have a "picnic" snack - set up a couple of small camping tents in the backyard and let the kids pretend to be on a campout and crawl in and out of the tents
