Which of the following printers would have the highest quality printer output?

Could you help me compare different types of printer?

• Could you give me comparison between direct thermal, thermal inkjet, continuous inket and laser printers with reference to the following criteria? 1. Cost 2. Printing speed 3. Maintenance 4. Size/weight 5. Print quality 6. Sensitivity to heat, UV, friction and solvents 7. Available colors 8. Choice of ink As far I know 1.Cost: laser > continuous inkjet > piezoelectric inkjet > thermal inkjet > direct thermal 2. Printing speed: continuous inkjet > piezoelectric inkjet > thermal inkjet > direct thermal 3. Maintenance: Thermal is robust, low maintenance reuired. In all inkjet printers cartridges need to be frequently replaced. For laser, very little maintenance needed. 4. Size/weight: All inkjet printers are light and small. Laser is bulky. I am not sure about direct thermal. 5. Print quality: Both continuous inkjet and laser give excellent print quality (is continuous inkjet better of the two?) Not sure how to compare the others. 6. I think laser printer is not much affected by heat,UV,friction,solvents. Not sure of others. 7. Available colors: Mostly only black for direct thermal, both black and color for others 8. Choice of ink: Limited choice for direct thermal, wide choice for others. Among inkjet, the piezoelectric has the most variety of choices of ink possible. Let me know if the above is correct. Also, please provide me the answers for what I have missed.
