My ipod touch screen isnt working.?
-
so im outside playing basketball with my ipod touch in my pocket...the ipod falls out of my pocket and the screen cracks. after the screen cracks the ipod continues to work but the screen is so severely cracked i HAVE to get it fixed. i called apple and they said even though im still under warranty it will cost $100 dollars. so that option is out of the question then i hear that people fix there own ipods for REALLY cheap. so i ordered a new screen off of amazon.com for $30 and i put it on using some directions from youtube.com....after i put the screen on everything worked fine, but a couple of days later as i was unlocking it i used the " slide to unlock" command and when i slid it, it asked me for my passcode. (my passcode is 1015) i entered the 1 then when i tryed to enter the 0, nothing happend. so i tryed to backspace and try again and nothing happend. then i pressed 1 again and it worked. at this point i realized that only the bottom part of my screen doesnt sense when i touch it because im completely able to type number 1-9 but once i try to press a 0 or backspace nothing happens. so i would like to know whats the problem and can it be fixed. sso far i havent restored my ipod because i dont want to delete all of my content but that is a last resort. also my ipod is jailbroken, can this be some kind of glitch due to me jailbreaking it. and also if the problem is with the new screen how come it worked when i first put it on but now only the bottom quarter doesnt work?

My old ipod was so jacked up it became a normal thing for me to restore it. try restoring it, it takes about 45 minutes and you can just download all the content you had on it after
Try holding the home button and lock button down at once. If it doesnt work, im afraid apple will not help, you violated their warranty by messing with it and they will refuse to fix it or help because that was your fault. And it probably stopped working due to it settling in and adjusting.
