I need directions in Barcelona and where to spend New Year there?

Saving £800 in one year?

  • I would like to start off by saying hi and Basicly I was wondering if anybody has any tips on saving money I am 14 and get £40 pocket money a month but am rubbish at saving and spend it on things I dont need and just in case you wondering it is £800 for a trip to barcelona with scholl next year I wanted trouble go this year but I couldn't afford it as I have too pay about £400 of it and then my mum is paying the rest and also does anyone know a way to make money outside of the home thanks for answering in advance and sorry for blabbing on

    If you don't already have a bank account, get one and put your money in it. When the money is invisible (as with the funds in a bank account - you know, you don't have the money physically there), it's easier to not be tempted to spend it all. Learning to save money is probably one of the best life skills you can ever learn, and if you start now, you'll be in a good position later on in life. :)

Hiyah My daughter wanted to go to the Isle of Wight on a school trip and it was £345 this was how she raised the money: 1) Washed cars with her friends at the weekend - started with ours and the neighbours came out and wanted theirs done - £5 per time. 2) AVON - we started a catalogue and she walked miles posting booklets then had to collect them take the orders and deliver the goods. 3) She started a tuck shop at my work and in her bag. We bought multipacks of crisps and bars and sold them for 30p each a small profit but over time it worked. She had tic tacs and jelly beans in her bag for school - things that don't squish and are a little bit different. 4) She cleaned the house for me 50p to hoover up etc perhaps you could ask your family if they have any jobs - sewing on buttons? Polishing shoes? Good luck

Weekend jobs or otherwise part-time. In a resteraunt, shop, etc. Mowing people's gardens. Delivering papers etc. Whatever you go for, stick to it and don't slack off. But you should get to it in no time.
