Answer:
People interested in working or volunteering in a Veterinarian' Office should consider this career opportunity. Veterinarian's Assistants and Aides are also known as Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Technologists. These professionals have completed two-year or four-year programs of study accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association. Veterinary Assistants and Aides work with veterinarians to prevent disease and diagnose and heal animals' illnesses and injuries. It was therefore assumed that one must have a high school diploma to apply for programs at a community college or a four-year college. The ages of high school graduates can vary by some four years from seventeen to twenty-one. Good luck.

Different vet clinics might have different policies, but as long as your state's labor laws allow you to work at 15 you can't lose anything by calling/visiting a coupe of clinics and seeing if they need help. Some might require you to be 18 due to insurance/liability (animal bites, etc) but I wouldn't think they'd all have that policy. If you're old enough to legally work and you are willing to do the "dirty work" I bet you'll find something. I started working for a vet clinic when I was 15, about to turn 16. Actually if I remember right, I got started because I had to have some kind of community volunteer hours for a college scholarship. The local vet was more than happy to let me volunteer there a couple days a week. I did it for a few weeks, cleaned kennels and mopped floors, etc....a few hours after school and on Saturdays, and when school let out for summer he offered me a job. I worked there 2 years, right up until I moved away for college. Good luck.

To actually work there you would have to be at least 18 I believe and qualified,if you just want to volunteer to clean up kennels or feed the animals, here its between the ages of 14-17,call around to various vets in your area and speak with them about it.Good luck!

At my vet's office, people 13+ can volunteer over the summer and on the weekends. It all really depends on your vet's office. Some do, some don't.
