Were can I get law enforcement applications online?

Is this a realistic plan to get involved in some type of state/federal law enforcement?

• I just graduated high school. I am struggling with making a decision regarding my future. I want to get involved with law enforcement, whethere that be local, state, or federal. Here are my idea's: Option A -get 4 year degree in psychology/foreign language/homeland security/criminal justice (while doing rotc) -enlist in the military (possibly AFSF or army MP) for 4-6 years -seek employment around the age of 28-30 OR -enlist in the military FIRST for 4-6 years -use GI Bill to recieve bachelors -seek employment around age 26-28 I'm leaning towards enlisting and then attending school. Any opinions are appreciated. I guess my question is "Is this an ideal way to become a candidate to be a cop/federal agent/law enforcement of any kind, and which route do you recommend: enlist then college or college then enlist?

  Both are good plans. Between the 2, I would choose option A, and major in a foreign language. Joining the military as an officer would probably be better. Either way would be fine though. Getting a college degree is one of the best things that you can do if you want to become a police officer. Being a veteran can help you get a law enforcement officer job. Veterans get extra points on civil service tests and preference for federal jobs. Getting law enforcement officer jobs can be very competitive. However, all else being equal, veterans with a college degree have a very good chance of getting hired for law enforcement officer jobs. While in college, get the highest grade point average that you can. Participate in a couple extracurricular activities. Do some regular volunteer work. Consider trying to get an internship with a law enforcement agency. Maintain a good reputation and record while in the military. Consider a job within the military intelligence field. Best of luck!
