Input and output devices?

How do I match the sample rates of the input and output devices to use adobe audition 6?

  • Hello, I was trying to record on Adobe Audition 6, but when I hit the record button, this message appears: "The sample rates of the audio input and output devices do not match. Audio cannot be recorded until this is corrected. Use the appropriate operating system or audio device control panel to adjust the sample rates of the input and output devices to use the same settings." Can anyone explain to me with my DELL XPS model with Windows 7 Home Premium what that actually means? I've been trying to follow those instructions without any luck. I would really appreciate it if anyone who used audition 6 before to give me a step-by-step guide to change to the same settings for the sample rates of both the audio input and output devices. Thanks and R.S.V.P,
