When will my budgie/parakeet lay an egg?

How to tell if a budgie parakeet is pregnant ? or when do they lay an egg?

• okay so i have a femaile blue budgie youngish i guess got her off the petshop a month ago and i think she might lay an egg? because shes always grouchy and my other bird isnt that i got along with ehr another budgie too and since the female was with allota of birds i think she might have been but idk im new to parakeets and stuff but i was just wondering on how to tell when they will lay an egg ?thnx :]

  Your females cere should be a shade of brown, she should be ripping things up and very active in general. She will start looking for nesting places and spend lots of time in there. A day or two before the egg, her vent (bum) will become very large and swollen. Her poops will enlarge and then you'll have an egg! If she is under 12 months and laying eggs, stop her. It is very dangerous to her body. Reduce daylight and change the cage around. With no male, the eggs will be infertile and will not hatch
