How can a 13 year old earn money?

• I need money for summer clothes & a phone. I asked my mom if i can earn money myself by dog walking and babysitting, etc.. but she said dont blame me if i get kidnapped by a sex offender.. & she also said if I'm going to start dog-walking, or any other thing to earn money, she said shes not going to support me. so I have to buy my own food everyday, and basically live myself except shes providing me only with my bedroom. I really want to earn money myself, cause she NEVER buys me anything! I wanna try sellling on ebay, but I dont know how I'll ship it to the person. I also want to try a garage sale, but they won't allow me, and they keep all the money i get from my stufff because they'lll say they bought it for me. HELP! I hate my parents so much! Theyre so mean and rude to me!

So here are few obvious sides of your problem for you to consider, First, make sure that your parents or guardians are fully aware or informed about your money raising intentions. Why? Because since you are just 11 years old, they are still responsible for all of your actions and legal consequences of your actions. Once they grant you their approval, you could start creating a plan of action. Second, identify any specialized skills or talents that could generate you immediate income. However, check with your parents or town regulations to make sure that your plan does not violate any local laws by providing services without a license. Third, how about selling personal items that you no longer need? Fourth, how about finding people who have problems and help them find solutions as a consultant or subject matter expert through YouTube or around your neighborhood? Just keep in mind that, since you are still a minor, your money making options are extremely limited by federal, state and town regulations. Fifth, ask your parents to schedule a consultation for you with your local Small Business Administration office. They probably have available programs and seminars in place for young entrepreneurs like you and your friend. Who knows, you could be the next Donald Trump!
