How to convince my parents to let me go horse back riding lessons?

  • Hi, I am a girl who is in love with horses. I have been riding a few years before, but I want to go on more. So I thought maybe I could go horse back riding lessons. I am not that stupid about riding horses, since I do do pleasure riding sometimes. I know how to trot, walk, canter, and gallop. I am good at jumping. So, I want to have horse back riding lessons. How can I convince my parents? P.S. They're strict.

    Just talk to them about it. It really can't hurt. Try finding a barn that might let you take lessons in exchange for volunteer work. I know a lot of people who get their lessons that way. I'm not sure how old you are, but if the volunteering for lessons doesn't work maybe get a small part time job to pay for them instead. Show your parents you are responsible and willing to work for it. Get them involved if you can, take them to a barn to watch you ride so they can see how much you love it.

Tell them how much you love it, and how committed you are to this sport. Make sure to make a plan to show them that's very neat, explaining how often you'd like lessons, when you would go, and where the lessons would take place. Explain prices, equipment, etc. so you seem very professional and committed as well.
