Is a radiographer a good career?

Ladies, which gives u more fullfillment, having a good career or having a good guy? I say career.?

  • I think a career matters more for me in the long run b/c you need money to survive and put food on the table; you don't need a man or love for that. Moreover, I think you can trust money more than ppl, as ppl can betray you more easily and break your heart. We can't run on emotions alone. I feel practicality comes first. To me, career and money ARE happiness b/c they give me freedom to do what I want, pay the bills, and pursue my interests. Plus, I'm accomplishing somethign by helping others & oing well in what I do. Give me a good career over a good guy anyday. You? Why?

    I prefer career. I want to be a surgeon. And I want what I want. It's not "feminist crap" it's just an opinion that I think career is more important than having a good guy. I'm a materialist. Things make me happy. Good coffee makes me happy. And I can still have friends. Because the greatest guy in the world can let you down. Others are unpredictable. Your career at least you can control. You know what the risks are, what might happen, and you can steer away. Emotions are much harder to handle than that. Besides, finding a good guy? Is luck. If you're out of luck then you're out of luck. A good career is something I could actually work towards.

A relationship. WHY? I worked with terminally ill people for years and at the end of every one of their lives, they didn't talk about there careers they talked about their relationships. Usually how they wished they had done differently and now it was too late. I was the only one there holding a good many of their hands when they left this world. My gravestone will say, 'Beloved Mother, Wife and Daughter'. What will yours say?

I can't choose between the two. Having a successful career is essential in today's world to survive on your own, complete certain aspirations and to begin and keep a family going. Without having a career, whether you enjoy it or not is usually essential to get a healthy relationship and to keep your family afloat. The career I want most would give me little money but I would gain experience, knowledge and friendships. The money I receive from doing something I love would be little and if I was in a relationship, my partner could help me get through life. Also, take into account that you have to retire at around 60-70 years old in most jobs - sometimes younger in others. What are you going to do then, realising you spent all your time caring about money, work and yourself? You'll become lonely, without love, a partner, children and someone to remember who you are and what you did. Hopefully, my gravestone will be "Loving Wife, amazing mother and daughter." I'd rather have that then "Was a good worker at Argos." Having a good career is nice but one day it'll end. Having someone love, respect and care for you is far better and doing the same for someone else is magnificent. Having a loving family, spouse and children is far more worthwhile and fulfilling

Wow more stupid feminist logic. I have a very good career and its fulfilling but nothing is greater to me than my family. The happiest moments of my life have come from family and great friends with whom I have shared the my success with. So you have a good career and money what then. Who are you going to share those achievements with your cat? Those achievements will mean nothing without loved ones to share it with. Even when I was younger and my job sucked my friends at work helped me got through each day. You will understand when you get older. People need each other more than they need a great career.
