Following up on a resume?

Help with resume title and help with desired job title.. any suggestions after reaading thee following?

• Can anyone help me come up with a job title? trouble answering a question that was asked "whats your desired job title?" Here is what I have experience in: 1. admin, clerical, secretarial job duties. 2. Medical billing and collections, follow up claim rep, insurance verification, reuesting authorizations for procedures, obtaining mutual patient info from other healthcare professionals, electronic and paper billing, resubmissions of corrected claims and appeals to c-various payers ( HMO PPO POS MCL MCR WCP PRIVATE PAY AND NON CONTRACTED AS WELL AS PATIENT PAYS). Im having ttrouble trying to find what job title I can use that will not restrict me from obtaining a position from any of the above that i have listed. I dont know how to explain my desired position can a medical biller, insurance verification rep, admitting reop, collections rep, pmt poster, ETC. all these are specific job titles and Ive done them all and dont know how to generalize this as one job title name. I also need a title for my resume, any suggestions?

  I would suggest using "service or billing representative" or "service and billing administrator". However, that really should not come-up on your resume. It might be part of an application but there's no reason to include a desired future title on a resume. Secondly, resumes DO NOT have titles and to include one would only make you look naive. The header should be your contact information, nothing more. Also, the current trend is to drop the "seeking a position" statement that was popular for so long. It rarely has anything of value in it and it takes up valuable space on your resume.
