Is it bad to exercise with diarrhea?

My puppy has diarrhea? What went wrong?

  • My 9 week old siberian husky started having diarrhea today and usually she'd let me know when she needed to go but today she just went. On a normal day she'd go poo maybe 1-2 times but today she went 4 or 5 maybe more times. The only thing I did different today was feed her a little more since she kept sniffing the bowl after for more. So I give her maybe 1 1/2 cup of dog food. She didn't have problems with this brand of food before so I don't think that's the problem. I read that overfeeding could cause it? Is 1 1/2 cups too much for 9 weeks? It also smells terrible if that helps. More bad than usual x_o. I don't think she contracted a disease because she's playful and hyper still and she walked fine during our evening stroll. Just to note: 1. She gets plenty of water -- I check it every few hours and refill if empty. 2. She gets her exercise twice a day. 15 min each. 3. I feed her 3 times a day 1 1/2 cup of dry dog food. And lastly Idk if this is relevant but the past few days she's been barking/howling when I don't get her the food right away. I usually make her work for it. aka do tricks and then one day I was too tired so I just put it in the bowl, made her lay down and gave her the whole thing. But yeah, she barks like crazy now when I have her food and make her do tricks to earn it. Sigh. What's wrong with my puppy >: .

    There could be something in her food that does not agree with her. And she barks and howls because she is trying to say she is hungry. Hope the little girl will be OK!

it should work through her system soon.in mean time if she wants more food don't give her that much maybe a half cup at a time.for diarrhea and or vomiting in dogs give them some cooked white rice.if she won't eat it plain add a bit of 1% low fat cottage cheese for taste it stop diarrhea and or vomiting in about hour or less.feed a 3/4 of cup of rice to 1/2 tablespoon cottage cheese.been doing it for my dogs when they get sick for years and years thanks to my vet for information.
