For blogs : What's the difference between page views and post views?

On blogger there are page views and post views... what's the difference? Like for instance I have page that has one post. The page has 7 views, and the post has 2 views. What does each number mean?

Many bloggers have static pages and posts. pages are the individual pages. for example: if u have an article or about me or contact us page these are all static pages where as the post are the contents that you update each day. suppose you post 4 new posts each posts may get a visit. these visits are termed as views
