How to stream videos from PC to PS3?

How to get my videos on my PC to stream onto my PS3?

  • Hi guys. I was told by a friend of mine that i could watch vidoes I have saved onto my pc and stream them onto my PS3. If this is true how do i do this. Extra info: I have windows 7 64bit on my PC which is wireless, and my PS3 is connected to the router by an ethernet as i find it better for online gaming. Thank you for all who answer.

    you need to go into windows media player and enable media file sharing. also your computer and ps3 need to be on the same network.. after this is done, go to the video screen on your ps3 and your computer should have its own tab under video.

There are two ways to do this one has already been mentioned but heres mine and trust me it's a lot easier than jumping through MicroSoft's hoops. 1.Go to http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/ and download the Windows one 2. Install then once done go to your Ps3 and enable Media Server located in the Network Settings 3. Once your PS3 has found your PC go to the movie tab then browse through your Hard Drives to find the movie you want Hope I helped
