How do I treat a burn?

How do I treat my razor burn? if this is razor burn?

  • hi I've been having an issue with irritation (razor burn) on my underarms. it's been about a week since the burn has been there (it started after I shaved so I think that's what caused it) though and I don't think it's getting better so I'm not quite sure what to do... it's basically just a big red smear that's sore to the touch. I've been cleaning it and putting on neosporin but i don't think it's helping much and I don't really know what to do (if this is infact razor burn) so any advice would be super helpful thanks :)

  • Answer:

Try some 100% aloe vera gel. It's clear with no additives. wal-mart sells Fruit of the Earth brand. A little bit goes a long way. It's not a lotion so it won't vanish. Wipe off the excess. Works well on sunburn, chaffing and heat rash.

Other answers

It could be your antiperspirant or deodorant. If you shave right before or after putting it on, it could irritate the armpit. Try just letting your arm dry out totally and not put anything on it. Even wearing sleeves could irritate it so wear a sleeveless top if need be.

Ms. W

Use lotion with aloe in it. It helps a lot.
