What kind of bow should I get?

Help please. What kind of Compound bow should I get?

  • Hello. I'm looking for a good compound bow to hunt/ target shoot with. I'm 5'1 - 5'2 and I weight 188 pounds (mostly muscle) I'm a girl and I'm 14 turning 15 in september (if that makes a difference) I'm looking for a great bow to hunt white tail, turkey, squirrel, rabbit, ect. I'm familiar to hunting and what not. And I'm looking for a bow that cost around 300 - 450 dollars. I have short arms and cubby hands (does that make a difference?) I have a few bows in mind •Bowtech Assassin •Bowtech Assassin SD •Diamond Razor edge •Bear Carnage •Winchester Vaguero Any suggestions? Thank you and God Bless

    Im guessing your not going to be a long enough draw for the bowtech assassin. My wife is 5'7" and she is a 26 inch draw. The assassin sd, diamond and bear that you mentioned would worked. Also look at the mission riot and craze. The best thing for you to do is to go to a pro shop and shoot as many bows as you can. Get measured to find out your draw length. Also get as much information as you can. Then pick the one that fits your wants and needs. @who is #1. What are you talking about? A bow under 34" cant be tuned. I have plenty of bows that are under 34" of draw if that is what your talking about and that are under 34" axel to axel and all of them are tuned. Every bow can be tuned.

Go to a Pro Shop and get your draw length measured.Try a few differnt models see what you like and feels go to you.Look into Quest bows also very nice and quiet at a reasonable price.As long as a shop is not swamped with work they should atleast paper tune your bow with you shooting.Offering tips on shooting also.Both my hunting bows are 33" axel to axel and are bullet holes bare shaft to 10 yards.Good luck with what bow you buy form and consistent form is the key to accuracy with a bow.

Compound bows under 34" can not be tuned. Never use wood arrows with a compound bow, they can shatter and tear up your arm.
