Are there disney channel auditions in Puerto Rico?

Disney channel open auditions. can you get a serious role when its just an open audition?

  • When disney Chanmel has open auctions I hear it on the radio sometimes on 96.5 saying that there coming to the area of philly for open auditions. With these types of auditions, since you don't need an agent, does that mean you would just get a role as an extra or can you get seriouse roles such as in in shows and movies for disney channel? I know theres a disney channel open audition in kansas city missouri but when I hear on 96.5 that theres open auditions for disney I want to know if I can get a serious role in a show or movie?

    I won't say that you CAN'T book a serious role, especially if you are a professional actress/actor. But I assume that you'd have a small percentage of doing so. Basically, what I believe they are casting for, is, like you said, small walk-on roles, or extras. Also, like you said, agents usually book for Disney, soo.. I don't want to get your hopes down, but Disney likes professional actors. Do you have the tools? A resume, demo reel, headshots, bodyshots, training, and experience? These are the kinds of things they look for. If you don't have these things now, work on getting them. Start with the training and work you way up to looking for an agent/agency. Have fun if you go, though!

except for their yearly open call. all Disney auditions are in LA and you need an agent to get you on them. Disney does not advertise auditions on the radio. these things are usually fronts for expensive acting schools. and your not going to get anywhere near a real Disney audition. it's exceedingly rare that anyone is picked from an open call. their more publicity stunts than a real audition.
