How much would you pay a photographer?

How much money is reasonable for a photographer to pay a model?

  • I am an amateur photographer and I want to hire (a) model(s) for a shoot I want to do. I am thinking about paying the model $25 per picture set. Of course the model I am aiming for is one that is an amateur or one that is just starting to go professional.

  • Answer:

Depends on the job and what they are willing to work for. I pay two ladies to model clothing for my online sales. They have to change clothing fifty times in a couple of hours. I pay fifty bucks per gig. I've had people ask for $300 or more. They get sent packing. Make sure to get a signed contract and make sure to make a copy of their photo ID. I don't know how it is where you are but here in the States if they are under 18 they have to have a parent sign for them. Here the photos become the property of the photographer, not the model. If you are using complete amateurs make sure they understand that you own all rights to the photos.
