How to change avatar on yahoo?

I feel so angry and stupid. How do I change my Yahoo! Avatar!?

  • I try to make myself an avatar, and I get a boy avatar. I'm a girl. I put my gender down as female, too. I click the button "CHANGE GENDER" under the avatar and it takes me to the page I started at. http://avatars.yahoo.com/welcome.php that. I don't see anything for changing my avatar there. What the hell. What do I do? Again, I know this is a stupid question. Maybe because it's midnight. and I'm angry. Can't find it. Help me out.

    Go back to the avatar screen, http://avatars.yahoo.com then click Preferences upper right, click Change Gender. If that don't work, click Delete an avatar. Click Save after your choices. Then go back and choose the gender you want. Your profile on your activity page says you are a female. If you have your profile hidden then it won't show. Lots of others are having this same problem now. If you still can't get it to work right, give it some time and try again. Yahoo has been doing maintenance causing many issues for everyone.
