What are the disadvantages of facial exercises or the potential harmful effects?

  • Hi guys. I am a 20 year old male who is considering beginning facial exercises sometime this summer. I have extensively searched through the internet on different ones, and have found ones that will suit me personally and what I am aiming for. I have my own routine made out which I intend on starting sometime in the next 6 weeks, depending how busy I am. I know there are no guarantees of facial exercises providing the desired results, it seems to be very hit and miss. But what I want to know is... Are there any harmful effects of these facial exercises? For example, I am really tall and have quite an oval shaped narrow egg head. Will facial exercises make my head even more narrow and egg like? What I am aiming for in my facial exercises regime is the following - More even eyes - Get rid of my sunken eyes - Get a shorter face. So yeah... If anyone can tell me the dis-advantages of potential harmful effects, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance :)

    Facial exercises are only beneficial. There are many different ones and I and my clients have used a combination of various treatments and they have proved to be only beneficial. Face and neck massaging is also excellent for making face more profiled and better balanced. It is very fast working and of course you can target particular areas. See my many answers that describe the techniques. Facial yoga exercises are also excellent and there are no negatives. The “Lion face” pose and variations of that are very effective and easy to do. Another pose, basically same as lion face, is to protrude tongue upwards as if trying to touch nose with tongue tip. “Baby Bird” is a good one for facial contouring and targeted slimming of face and neck. It gives very effective and quick results. Other techniques that are beneficial and fast working: Do many, many head turns (as far as you can go ) and also head rolls. Repeatedly move jaw from one side to the other (do quite fast). Much as an applied program of bodybuilding strengthens and enlarges the skeletal muscles, as well as toning and tighten the overlying skin, facial exercises do the same.
