Why do firms outsource to india?

I have question about companies that outsource jobs to India and China when unemployment is so high in US?

  • When these companies place job ads in US, they use words like "excellent credit", "excellent GPA", "ability to travel on your own expense" etc etc. But when these companies outsource the job to India, they do not even require the indian to have degree, GPA, credit or anything. In fact they do not even require them to send resume. Hiring becomes a blanket term over there and they just place them on job without even interview. How come?

  • Answer:

    These companies are CHEAP, there's no other reason, they don't have to pay their workers as much, it's all about MONEY.

Incomes, especially those of IT workers in India, have dramatically increased. Throw in our falling dollar and it's really no longer that good of a deal. Unfortunately, corporate IT leaders, dumped a crap-ton of money into centers over there , so many will fiddle with intra-company accounts to make the offshoring look cheaper than it really is.

Simply because its WAY cheaper. If you live in places like India or China and you can speak English with little to no accent, you have a job. its crazy. but president Obama has proposed to give bigger tax cuts to companies who work out of the U.S.A lowering unemployment.

wouldn't make sense if they want cheap labor to advertise for qualifications few in those countries have...lets face it, what American would work for under $100 a month? or even a week? We couldn't afford too, we couldn't even buy gas to get to the job and groceries for that, let alone housing and utilities.
