What active summer jobs do you know?

Does anyone know good summer jobs for people with social anxiety disorder?

  • i just need you to spit out a few for me. but just to know, im in college and i just need a job for the summer. however, most jobs for people right now is that they involve interacting with a lot of people. things like working at a store, delivery or mall. well, i have social anxiety and i suck and cant stand doing stuff like that. i mean im so bad, i hate when going to the grocery store because whenever i get something, im afraid that the people who are bagging my stuff or if i pass people i know will judge me. and my i want to get one because i dont want my parents to think im lazy and they know i have anxiety, but they dont know what its like and just act like its nothing. so with all that said, does anyone know any good summer jobs for people with social anxiety?

    You could look into something like warehouse work or being a stocker (not a stalker) at a store and work at night restocking inventory. You might call a local temp agency and see if you can get a part time job through them. Make it clear that you don't want a customer service type job and explain your situation.

Well, logically, it'd be a job where you're not interacting with a lot of people. And from there, it depends on what you're good at. If you're good at computers (web design, programming, SEO optimization), you're not interacting with a lot of people. Basically, it's just the person or persons who've hired you or contracted with you. Otherwise, you're doing your own thing away from people. If you're good at editing, you can do a lot of freelance editing and only have to interact with a publication's main editor or publisher. If you're good at typing/keyboarding, you can transcribe (used to be tapes, now generally it's MP3s) for writers and others. Hope that helps.
