Where should I live in Philadelphia?

Where do most of the commuters live from Philadelphia?

I currently go to school in philly and wouldn't mind working there, as long as I can find a job there, after I graduate. But where would you say most of the commuters live, whom work in philly? Main Line is the first place that comes to mind, and I know some live in South Jersey, but is it even out of the question for one to live in Delaware and commute to Philly for work? What are some more residential areas in the city? I particularly enjoy South Philly since there's so much to do, but eventually I am not going to want to be in the hustle and bustle of the city 24/7.

Most commuters seem to live outside of Philly, which is a big part of the problem.Why is it OK to work here, but not live here. That's like picking corn and never planting anything! WTF!!
