How do I help my friend with guys?

GUYS: Please help: How do I react to my kinda boyfriend saying this and can I approach his best friend?

• I dated this amazing guy for almost 2 months, we broke up due to stress on either side with diff issues, and a few weeks later, we kinda got back together again, meeting up 2-3 times for lunches, making out, texting again We spoke for a while a couple of days ago, just normal stuff, but it felt really good, and then he said, I'm out every night for the next week! Family commitments etc..... Today, I texted asking where he went last night, and he said to meet this girl for dinner his family had set him up with as they want him to hook up with her! I asked what he wanted and he said he's only met her a couple of times and hasn't decided yet!! He said, I don't see what the big deal is, geez! It's not like I'm getting married today!! I don't want to freak out and start fighting or anything, but how do I assert myself here and be calm and approach this? There was a similar issue last time and he felt pressured wen I asked him to make up his mind. Also, his best friend and I normally text each other a lot, I don't know him very well but he's very grounded and they can talk to each other and listen to advice from each other also, should I approach him and ask what's going on? Please help, I don't think this is normal and I need to get some clarity without being too pushy!

  You only dated for 2 months. I don't know how old you are but it sounds like you need to let him do something now. You said you "kinda got back together" but then he is going on dates with girls that he hasn't decided about yet. That doesn't sound like yall are back together and even though you are doing things couples would (like dating, making out, texting) you have to realize you are not. Too assert yourself I think you should pull back. Stop texting/calling him and worrying him about what he is doing and who he is doing it with. Instead focus on YOU and how YOU interact with him. Don't allow him to kiss you or hold you like a boyfriend would if he isn't. You have to set certain guidelines. He has to see that you have standards. Show him that you are interested in him but you don't NEED him if he is not ready to commit to you. Hang out with him only in groups unless he has made it clear he wants to take you on a date. Make it clear that you only date guys that are serious about themselves and you. Doing things like this will make HIM realize he wants your attention and HE will seek you out. If he really likes you he will try to rise to your standards without even knowing it. You will get him to make up his mind without making it seem like YOU made him do it by giving him an ultimatum or something like that. I wouldn't text his best friend about it either because thats obvious that you are trying to manipulate the situation. They will talk about you, remember he is HIS best friend, so don't be so quick to think he will be on your side or tell you anything. Good luck!
